How can i cash a cheque from the Revenue- without putting it through my bank account

    Any ideas, Will a post office cash it for cash,bank?
    Any ideas as i dont want to put in bank account.

    Cant see why not, but you may need ID with you is you haven't used the account in a while. I usualy use the credit union quick lodge for cashing cheques.

    As in lodge ing the cheque to your account, or cashing it?

    You can lodge in to a credit union or post office account in your name :)
    Might take up to 5 days to clear though.

    You would have to open an account with a institute that can lodge it for you.

    Or....

    Send it back to the revenue and ask them to remove the crossing by stating so on the back of the chq and have a authorised person sign it, in this case it would be someone from the Collector Generals office.

    So in other words.... You'll have to open an account.
