Even though this was mentioned in another thread I made I think this might require one of its own, but if not please merge.

So canonical have Announced their Ubuntu TV.

It looks really good IMO. Although I do have a bit of a gripe with the contrast of colours but I'm sure its customisable.

It's set to be out by the end of this year, which gives it a major disadvantage against the other smart tv's but lets hope the linux community can develop this into the must have TV.

deal breaker for me
dose anybody know if it has a bit client support,
i don't see the software center or web browser. anybody have any knowledge about that.
also a 1tb hard drive is a MUST

i noticed from the pics there seam to be all of English channels on the guide and their showing it off in the ces in vagas this week ... just seams strange.

Well it's only an example, not a live guide... and they are a London based company, so not really that strange :L
