    I was told that if you had yellow jondice when you were a baby you cant give blood, is this true?

    Yup. Technically it's a version of hepatitis.
    AFAIK, Ireland is one of few countries to enforce such a rule. Other countries take a less stringent approach, restricting contributions from those with serious versions of hepatitis rather than jaundice.
