    Ok so here's the scenario.

I've set my gmail up in outlook, but have a work account that's currently forwarding mail to my gmail (for when I'm out and about so I don't double up on mails to my phone or on the office pc).

I'm currently in a pickle as is there any way to set the 'send from' address in outlook at my work account as it's currently coming from my @gmail.com address instead of coming from my x@workemail.ie one.

    Thanks.

If you log into the web version of gmail, you can set it up to send as your work account. So you'll have an option to use either account when sending from the web version of gmail.

If you use this method some firewalls will reject the emails, as the sending server doesn't match your works email address.

The other option is to set your work account up as a separate email account in outlook, but this is not always possible depending on your company IT setup.

this option is only for sending FROM another address WITHIN gmail.

in outlook once the feature is enabled i think all you need to do there is literally type the from address u want when composing.

if i were you id stick with the web ui. much better

You can set up your work account in outlook and when sending an email the "send" option is there to choose which account you want to send from, but this might also double up on downloading mails from both your work account and gmail as you need valid settings for the account to avoid getting a settings error eacch time you send and recieve.
