    Hey,

I'm swapping cars and apart from reliability I would like a big boot, comfortable for cart bag and a golf glider. I'd prefer not to to remove the longer clubs/wheels.

I'm aware of the octavia but any others out there? Preferably hatchback models

    Cheers...

I had an Opel Vectra hatchback and it was amazing what you would get into the back. Great car it was too, can be had for small money.. You could always get the newer model Insignia if you wanted..

Great idea Darren Clarke had one time at the K-club.
He arrives in his ferrari and has his clubs follow in a cab.

I often ponder the old boot/golfclubs conundrum as I sit daydreaming ...

Doubt it's ever going to be a problem I will really have to worry about.

don't buy an E46 BMW 320, i had one and the boot is tiny. Bag, golf glider, battery and changing kit bag nearly filled the boot.

I have an X-Trail now and on saturday had the above along with 2 other golf bags, 2 other trollies and numerous kit bags and there was still room!!

Need to downgrade a lot further than that. Have a 325. The Vectra sounds like a good choice. Going to check it out

Did you try a Toyota Hilux?
You should be able to get all your gear into the back of that

Agree. Have a hatchback mondeo. Can fit two bags (one a tour type titleist bag), a push trolley, a powakaddy and assorted shoes, kit bags etc. humongous boot.

You will struggle with all saloon models, no matter what they are. Octavia, 320, A4, Mondeo, Vectra, etc etc etc....

I have a mid sizes saloon and had to borrow my sisters Ka when I was moving a TV recently.

Hatchback in any model is the way to go for you needs, or else you could get a Toyota Dyna and deliver coal on your off days too!!!!

Octavia, Superb or A6 will take 4 golf bags side by side in the boot...you will not struggle!

just inside the edge of the boot on either side above the wheel arches is a hollow (edsigned by a golfer me thinks) is enough room for a full set of clubs incl drivers.
On occasion its a bit of a bend or twist but the driver has yet to snap.

my mate has an audi A8 and his boot wont take a set of clubs across the inside of the booteek.gif - looser

Ive an 04 cool.gifpassat and its great for the clubs - dont know about the newer models.
