Cracked sink - what to do?

We have a lovely Kohler white ceramic kitchen sink which our kitchen fitter fitted recently. Our plumber then put the tap in and in the process managed to crack the sink on the top side of the draining board. There's no chipping but you can see the hairline crack of about 6 inches. Our builders have said they will pay for a replacement but I cannot find another one.

Can these cracks be repaired successfully? I love the sink :o

Replacement only I'd say, as the crack is in an area of tension it's only going to get worse, ceramic is very unforgiving.

As said crack will get worse. If the sink was acrylic it could be drilled at the end of the crack but for ceramic this will only make it worse.

    New sink....

Thanks, was hoping I could salvage it. I can't find a replacement model though :(

Why dont you look up kohlers website in the uk and see if the model is on it.

Modern plant use to be the irish agents for kohler but i dont know if they do there sinks. They wont sell direct but they will give you the name of a shop.

Haldane fisher up north are also kohler agents.

I guarantee you if your sink is only recently fitted its available. Kohler is a serious brand that does not stop producing quality.

I've been on their website and can't find the same model. I bought it on Adverts and it was a showroom model. It must be discontinued. I'll have to buy another brand. Pity, it is a beautiful sink :(
