Its either that or Firefox. Chrome isnt compatible with the stuff I need to use.

I see what you mean. I did a search for extensions there for IE and it came up with two for Google. Both .co.uk addresses.

I'm not sure how (I think it does by default as I haven't changed a setting!) you can search directly in the address bar in the new FF and it'll return the .ie results.

I have always used chrome too, but some software that I needed to use with it wouldn't work at first. It would only work with IE

I use this iteration of Chrome (all extensions work for it too!).

Also you can get an Extension called "IE Tab" (for both firefox and chrome).

Display web pages using IE within Chrome. Supports ActiveX controls, Sharepoint, ICBC, alipay. A "Top 10" extension since 2009!
    .
This is the most popular and robust IE emulator available. It has been a Top 10 Chrome extension since 2009.

It exactly emulates IE by using the IE rendering engine directly within Chrome. This will enable you to use ActiveX controls and test your web pages with different versions of IE (IE6, IE7, IE8, or IE9).
