Hi, I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not but hoping someone can tell me.

My 99 reg Toyota Corrolla hatch back is due it's NCt and I have a problem with the boot, it wont stay open!.... am just wondering if this is something I would need to get repaired in order to pass the NCT ?

I'm trying to put as little cash into the car as possible so just trying to save a buck.

    Thanks

    It's not an NCT problem.

had an NCT today and failed....it says track rod ends worn -offside-front and to repeat side slip test. what does this mean? will it take long to have it done and what will be the estimiated cost to get it done?
    thanks

There is two parts of track rod- inner and outer. The best idea is to visit a garage and find out which part do you need. Roughly track rod end cost in around 20 euro and 20-30 euro to replace it. Ask a mechanic to make sure your wheel is in the same position after fitting. For 100% result on nct you have to make wheel alignment (40 euro) after track rod replacement.
