    Hey guys, help needed here with lighting, looking to take a 50's style portrait of a friend. This is the style she looking at, never done anything like this before so any ideas what I should be doing.. I have a d7000 and an sb900, an 35mmf1.8, an 85mm f1.8 and an 80-200mm f2.8..

    this is what google throws up ...for ideas.

    I'm guessing the lighting wont matter its the props/dress/make-up that the person wants done in a 1950's style.

    Pick an example from PCPhoto's list of the 1950s, use your 85mm 1.8 lens and put her near a large window for natural light and don't bother using flash.
