I am thinking of buying an SSD for my laptop to improve performance. I'd say the 250GB would be sufficient for me. What do I need to look out for and what would people's recommendations be?

    OP

what you looking for is reliability+speed

I would strongly recommend you getting one from Amazon UK because of their returns policy( had 2 128GB SSD in the past ,both failed within a few weeks)
no issues with getting refund once the things are starting to go wrong

Your lappy will be lighting fast after installing a SSD but in my case I got just very unlucky with the quality, reliability .

The 250GB ones are very pricey at the moment, try monitoring HotUKDeals for the best value SSD.
