US election on RTE

    Why are RTE covering 1/50th of the nomination process for a party that only has about a 5% chance of winning anyway? I really don't see why we need so much coverage of it 9 months prior, while the French, Russian and Indian elections, and the choice of new Chinese leaders, will be lucky to get a minute on the night they happen.

    Because RTÉ have a permanent correspondent in Washington DC. (Richard Downes).

    They don't have any in Paris, Moscow, New Delhi or Beijing.

    You should hope they show more of it, because they have alot better chance than 5%

    If you think that, it may be time to get some cash out, the bookies are giving 8/11 on Obama being re-elected at the moment.
