Are flights booked online with Aer Lingus to be paid for in full there and then?

    Yes, I'm afraid so.

Yes including all taxes and charges.

The only thing you can pay for after the online transaction is for bags, seat options or sporting goods.

Online bookings must be paid in full.

However, depending on the flight details, and your own circumstances, your local travel agent may be able to book the flight on your behalf and let you pay in them in instalments.

It will cost you around €10-€25 more in the long run depending on what commision travel agent charges.

If you are booking with your credit card just book on the date that your current bill is being calculate and you will get 55-56 days interest free credit between the date of purchase and the time of your bill being due.
