He definitely should have, she looked totally shocked when he started reading his prepared speech. The way she ran off was pretty harsh though.

I got engaged recently, but knew she was going to say yes before I went ahead and got the ring and stuff.

I'd never have done it at a match though, she's only been to one football match in her life, last season's FAI Cup Final, and that was after we got engaged.
