Does Ultimate Team work on UPC?

    I've asked question in another thread but got no replies, so trying again in a specific thread.

    I have tried Cisco EPC2425 and EPC3925 modems and cannot get Ultimate Team working without disconnects.

    Does anyone have Fifa Ultimate Team working on UPC (with phone service working)? Is so, can you share what your modem and setup is?

    139 views and No Reply - I think that answers my so...it clearly doesn't work with UPC, so no point trying to find a workaround :(

    the problem is more than likely your modem settings

    Really? Can you tell me what modem you have and if using phone service as well?

    Thomson modem, didn't change any settings. Yeah, running phone with them as well...

    This isnt going to be a UPC issue specifically to be honest. I have UPC and it works fine for me too. You need to look at your NAT settings and make sure you have an Open Nat first off. Run a connection test on your xbox or I think in FIFA 12 it will tell you in the top left on the main menu screen. Check that first and make sure its open.

    Axwell, do you have Thompson router as well? I am using PC and have tried port forwarding & DMZ and neither work.

    Nah I have the cisco one - check out the post I have on this down about half way about connecting to others and fixing NAT issues assuming your Nat isnt open, you didnt say above.

    Thanks for that Axwell. I have sent up port forwarding and tested ports and they show as open, but still get disconnected.

    But I am playing on PC, maybe this works on xbox but not PC?

    It shouldnt matter whether its a PC or Xbox you still need to have Open Nat to be able to connect with others properly on the servers. The EA servers on xbox and ps3 arent the best a lot of the time, I would imagine they are even slightly worse for the PC to be honest. Have you checked their own site and forums to see if others are having problems on PC?

    Yes, lots of people on their forums having problems on all platforms (not just PC) and they say it is with specific routers and they have been working on a fix. But not much progress for 3 months, so not looking like it will be fixed.
    Cisco routers seem to show up regularly as being the culprit, so I was thinking that the model UPC use could well be one that will not work.
    Maybe it's a combination of PC and router that is the problem, but so far I've had no joy whether I open ports or put PC in DMZ.

    I have a UPC Cisco router and run into problems on PS3. I get "EAS FC Error" after a challenge, during Ultimate Team and even in career mode. It works sometimes, for a while, and then I'll get disconnected. It's quite frustrating because I would like to play online more often.

    There's a post here with a suggested fix but I haven't tried it yet.

    Yes, I get all those issues as well. The fix you linked to disables the phone though, so no good for me. I'm also using the EPC3925 now and this doesn't seem to have the ability to switch to Bridge mode.

    i am using that fix too, disables the phone line and also not good if you have more than 3 devices that need WiFi. It stops people sharing connection.

    ye it just force disconnecs alot! :( mines not working atm
