Has anyone seen the likes of this before (maybe its a common occurrence on car websites)....

Two Saab 9-3 1.9tdi's, one number plate.

    Saab 1, location Dublin €6450

    Saab 2, location Waterford €5750

Assume one dealer bought off the other and added €700 to the price?

Obviously, the addtion of "this car has been approved"* to the description is worth €700 all day long .
(As well as a wash and a hoover, naturally).

*I see this meaningless drivel all over carzone, and it means what, exactly?

one advert was last updated 17days ago (waterford one), Dublin one was 5 days ago.

so its possible that someone who spotted it ...purchased it, brought it to Dublin and then decided they dont like it and want to sell it

... but they want to get as close as possible to the money they paid for it...so they put the price up - so they can knock it off for any potential buyers.

They are both dealers though. At least it didn't get a haircut in transit.

Car has Waterford reg, was listed previously at waterford dealer

was bought and brought to dublin with 700 on the top

    easy peasy

Have seen this plenty of times.

Also you'll see cars for sale on dealer websites / Carzone and the same car cheaper on Done Deal, sans warranty.

I thought it would be €700 less in the Big Smoke, having a non D reg and all. :pac:

Oh wait, that's only when you are trading in there that you get that line.

    Don't see the big deal.

I'v often bought stuff, Alloys even cars and readvertised them the next day with better pics and a better discription. It's easy money.
