    Hey guys,
so the da has decided it's time for a new car, has roughly 30k to spend. He's had 3 Lagunas in a row so it could be time for a change - he's not a big fan of the new raised back in the Laguna.

So what would you guys recommend to me in that kind of 5-door range? Would a Prius be rubbish?

What kind of miles would he do in a year, are they mainly city miles?

Ah He'd prob do a few miles to and from work each day but he'd be traveling down the country a fair bit to see relatives and the sort. Let's say 20k, roughly speaking.

I'm going to go right ahead and open with a Skoda Superb. You can get a Greenline Elegance spec which has all the bells and whistles, I.e Sat Nav, Parallel park assist, parking sensors, cruise, heated front and back leather seats. All of this can be bought new for less than 30k. You can get the 2.0TDi's in this spec for circa 31k I believe. I think it's the best choice in terms of value for money. Unless the badge is important to your Father.

Executive model is well kitted out for under €30k and a 5 year warranty.
