Correct me if i've read this wrong but your are selling an item and someone has contacted you outside of ebay?
    Is this not against rules?

Anyway, if you get paid via paypal, is that not money in your pocket? Hardly matters what happens your item after that, does it?

    |EDIT - seems not..... :) Careful anyway!

It might be. Send me your eBay username & password and I'll check :P

It's a scam - stay away. You will see the payment in Paypal and ship the goods. Then the payment will disappear from Paypal as it will have been paid with a skimmed credit card.

Stick with legitimated deals on ebay.

I have read recently where a person sold item on eBay, person asked to be sent to different address as it was a present. Sent item, after checking with pay pal, then buyer put in clawback request with pay pal, money frozen, and because item was not sent to PayPal address the buyer got his money back.

that's interesting - I wonder what would happen if the seller transferred the money from his paypal acc to his own bank account before shipping the item.

(Would paypal be entitled to come after him for the money in the event of a dispute?)
