    Hi guys,
I'm going to purchase a used Mini Digger, which is owned by local farmer, question is - what are the formalities that I have to follow to get the digger in my name?
Is there any form I have to download, print and sign? Do I have to register it anywhere?

    Thanks for any help!

Don't know, but get a receipt stating payment was received for the name and seriel number of the digger. How much do you trust the seller?

If a farmer had it, there probably isn't finance owed on it. It's probably not stolen. Where as a builder might owe money on it.
Ask if there is finance owed on it.

It it was stolen then the seriel number (if genuine) will be logged somewhere. I have a mini-digger which is ok, but I was getting parts for it once and was told that a guy had come in recently with particular model number and seriel number that didn't exist. The digger had been stolen and rebadged with a number that didn't exist, and therfore couldn't be traced.

There probably isn't any formal documentation to go with it if it wasn't purchased under a warranty or bought second hand. If you a confident with the sellers credability then you should have no problem.

    Thanks for answer Figerty.

The seller seems genuine, I will for sure get some receipt from him, should I notify some institution also, like motor tax office, town council or something?

Don't think so.Its not a public vehicle, not liable for road tax, or otherwise.

It's your baby once you hand over the payment... the government know enough about you already!
