MacBook Air Retina Display Worth It?

I'm told a Retina Displayed MBA could come out this year. It is worth the wait? I don't do any graphics work so don't see a huge advantage on that score and could buy an MBA now. But is a retina display more durable or scratch resistent in any way? I travel a lot and hardware gets knocked about a bit with mobile working..…

Have to say, having just compared my iTouch to my 23" samsung monitor, they aren't lying about the lack of pixelation.

Having said that would you really truly notice a difference? Not sure. People say "Is it worth the wait" - you either need a new laptop or you don't.
