    Can anyone recommend a good course that would show me the basics, how to service my own car etc? preferably in dublin

    Haynes manual and a banger I wasn't afraid to break is how I learned...sorry can't help you anymore then that

    Most important thing is safety is the utmost. Never get under an unsupported car. Invest in a decent jack and axel stands.
