Ps what if you don't hate tables, surely a mathematician would have some sort of constant so that we never have to multiply by zero

All too sober I'm afraid.

I know a lot of people like a challenge, but seriously, there's more and more of these updating tables on the main page. They just become pages of pages of people updating without much comment, if any. Surely Robin's Google docs 1000mile challenge was well-received, might this be a better way to go?

SBR challenge has also gone the google docs route and there's already more banter in that thread than the entire 2011 thread. Definitely the way forward.

There's a few others that could learn from it too. The Winter Strength and Running Streak Challenge's, for example. Page's and page's of updates that are refreshed several times a day on the main forum page. Very little chatter about strength or streaks in them- and even when there is, its going to be lost to the many people who have given up on reading them, because every time its opened, its just another minor adjustment to the table. I'd say they've lost any real value besides a pissing contest. Link the table to google docs a lá Robin, and keep the Boards thread for banter/discussion/milestones.

I've added a google docs table for the running streak thread
