We can't use Wi Fi here in ballygobackwards so need to get a USB cable for the 3DS ..you'd think they'd of stuck one in the box but oh well.

Having trouble registering it as well but have contacted them so hopefully that'll get sorted.

Was sceptical about the 3DS after the young one got the DS lite (well she won it in a Yop competition) but the 3DS is so cool might have to get on for myself. Amazing little machine.

Is there a question there? :)

There is no direct USB connection for the 3DS. Not sure what your options are. Here is how to set up connectivity over USB (assuming you have one of the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection thingies).

There are USB<->3DS cables knocking around but those are purely for supplying power. They're not data cables.

Just gave it a go, if you have an android phone that supports tethering and a data allowance you can set the phone into Wifi Hotspot mode and connect the 3DS to the net that way... I know, that's not much of a revelation but it just never occurred to me to try it. Must start bringing my Pokemon carts to work so I can do impromptu trades.

I use this method to get 3DS online. Only issue is the connection is not fast enough for online multi-player games.
