Locking Tuners AND locking nut

    Hi guys, I wrote a post on here recently about locking tuners.. I didnt bother getting them ... BUT.. I've now broken one of the damned tuning pegs on my Jackson guitar and I'm having trouble finding a similar replacement...

    I was thinking of just swopping out all the stock tuners and replacing them with good quality locking tuners.. I know this is overkill as the locking nut and locking tuner do the same function...

    Has anybody tried this, or are there any reason not to put them together?

    There's no point at all in putting locking tuners on it.

    The locking nut locks down the strings, so the tuners only make a difference if you loosen the nut the whole way.

    The nice thing about locking tuners is that it makes restringing a hell of a lot easier and quicker, especially with a floating bridge. Always thought about putting locking tuners on my Ran

    I wouldn´t bother. Most people misunderstand the real function of locking tuners! I´d just get some mini Grovers or something like that.

    I don't see the point in them tbh. Especially with a locking nut. Having said that, Planet Wave make the best ( I've heard).

    If you switch out the tuners (locking or otherwise) remember to check the diameter of the holes before purchasing otherwise you might have to widen the holes. I like to use locking tuners as it makes restringing much handier. I've used both grover and klusons and found them good
