    Hi,
if anyone can help would be very grateful.
I've been advised to get a laptop with intel core duo 2.5Ghz as will be using acertain program that requires this spec. Am on a budget and have found a laptop that has all the other spec requirements but its processor is a DUAL CORE AMD E-450 PROCESSOR and I am unsure if this is enough? any ideas anyone? Its a Toshiba C670D that I am looking at.

GHz doesn't tell the whole story of a processor these. Who recommended intel core duo to you? Those processors are a good bit outdated by now, and you won't find them in new laptops. As for E-450 they are decent, they'll do the basics, internet Microsoft word etc, but not much more.

What programs exactly will you be using?

The provider of the program, gave the minimum requirements of a computer/ laptop for the program, and I have a pc picked but just need a laptop also. would they be of similaror superior strength/ power to the intel core duo 2.5ghz? i can check monday with the program provider about the E-450, i was going to try buy before the vat increase kicks in at pc world monday but not a big deal to wait til monday

have you tried the dell website?
they have a sale on atm on some laptops, plus there is further reductions to be got by using some of these codes. €600 should easily get what you want.

It's a pain in the hole to get the codes to add to the Models most of the time, it's always looking for "additional info".

Oh I seen that alright but X Pro only needs 1.3Ghz or better processor going by system requirements page.
