lenovo thinkpad touchpad issue

    i am cracking up here my tochpad 2 buttons left and right buttons are not working when i click on the left button it is being used at the right button if you know what i mean
    so basicaly i cannot use the button to click i have to tap the touchpad which is so annoying
    can anyone help please

    Start>Control Panel>Mouse, Set to Right handed, there may be further touchpad settings "Alps", Synaptics etc which this setting may be under
