They've never mentioned an observer's name before ... clue towards something? 12 observers or something a little more meaningful.

Or it's nothing and it's just another one of these things the Fringe writers do to keep us occupied!

Season 2 episode 8 is called August and that is also the observers name who dies. Others obeservers are also know as July and september. It will tell you them all on tv.com site in the credit section.
