I have a ASRock H67M motherboard that Im looking to use for a htpc. Anyone any recomendations for a case for it? Not looking to spend much on it but would like it to look tidy and suit under the tv.
Also im going to get a tv tuner for a satellite in the near future, will the case have to be deep to take one of these?

Mini-Atx is quite big, you're going to need to choose wisely. Check these out:

Thanks for the link. They are a bit pricey for me though.

While not strictly a HTPC case, I used the Antec NSK1380 for mine. I was using a Microsoft IR sensor so wasn't too worried about inbuilt IR.

How much were you hoping to spend? Do you really need to use that board, as in, have you everything else? cpu, gpu etc?
If you haven't got the other bits it may be cheaper to scrap the mobo (adverts.ie) and go new. See My HTPC build, the case was only 55 and came with psu, mobo comes with Intel Atom cpu and nvidia gpu onboard, whole lot is aircooled.

or the other question, does the htpc have to be on display?
the MS IR dongle comes with about 20feet of usb cable so the pc can be positioned away from the tv and just run the hdmi and ir dongle to it.

its an expensive business trying to make bigger hardware look the part so, for the last number of years, i've just hidden a quiet desktop away somewhere.
currently, its in the space for the old heating system with the cables coming out through a vent behind the tv
