I don't post here that often(as it will soon show)

I've noticed lately on my Sky box that BBC News among other (BBC) channels I installed no longer work on the box.

Also have a freeview box in the house as well, which has also lost channels like BBC News as well.

Is there a new BBC code for these boxes?

Yes they moved some of the BBC channels a couple of months ago.

See the "UPDATED:: UK FTA TUNING GUIDE" sticky thread on this board for the up to date details.

Hi , I'm using my old standard skybox to pick up the freeview channels . I'm getting them all except for all the bbc's . I tried retuning with the frequencies given on the link but my skybox just says no signal , are they're new frequencies since 2012 began ? Thanks

Hi thanks for that , I've tried tuning in BBC's by adding a channel on skybox and put in the frequency codes and polarization ect but it keeps saying no signal found ! I have another sat box (not a sky one ) in my bedroom coming off the sky dish and it's getting the BBC's and the skybox in question (in my living room) is getting all the other free to air just no BBC's . I even tried the backup system but nothing changes ........any suggestions ? Thanks a mill :)

Try deleting all the old channels first. Then re-scan transponders.

The problem may be your satellite dish (Some help from the BBC)
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/digitaltv/satellite.shtml

A sky box should automaticaly retune the BBC channels on the EPG if frequencies change.

So, you have moved the non sky box to the same position as the sky box and the non sky box is not picking up the BBC channels either. (Is that correct ?).

Your dish may have gone out of alignment.

@wiilow74, are we talking about the BBC channels on your standard EPG (7 day programme guide), or the BBC channels on the 'other channels' on the sky box.

Hi , the sky box is in the same position it's always been in the living room , I just thought I'd mention the fact that I have another decoder (not sky) in the bedroom picking up channels and it is receiving bbc's . Can't figure why decoder in bedroom is getting all the channels and the sky box isn't . It's the sky box in the living room that is receiving all the free to air except bbc 1, bbc 2 , bbc 3 , bbc 4 or bbc news ect . I thought the dish may be out of alignment but surely that would effect some of the other channels too

if you put the box from the bedroom in the living room and will it get the bbc stations ?

could also try the sky box in the bedroom.

Wiilow, do you pay a sky sub, is BBC1 NI on channel 141

Do you use the sky box for free viewing, BBC1 is on channel 101, no card inserted.

Do you have the BBC channels added to the other channel section of the sky box, if so as habanerocat said you may have to delete the old BBC channels from the other channel section before searching the new frequencies.

A number of thing can go wrong, Your set top box could be at fault (can you borrow a friends sky box to try in your living room)

Dish, LNB, cabling could all be possible problems that could cause the loss of some channels
