    Anyone bought used stock from dabs.ie?
    Thinking of buying a hdd €60 new, €25 used

    Personally I wouldn't buy a second-hand hd. Having said that I've never had any problem with Dabs although some people have had issues with deliveries and returns.

    I agree, I wouldn't trust a second hand hard disk either. Thats not to say a new drive wont fail quickly but a used one has a higher probability :) . If the drives a refurb then its likely it was returned faulty and re made with new components so should be ok, just the shell and motor/PCB I think they would reuse, depending on how the drive failed of course.
    I'd always go for a new drive myself personally though

    Do you think i'd get it for cheaper than €60 anywhere??? (€66 inc delivery)

    Likely not, with the Thailand flooding situation €60 is likely the norm~ for a 160Gig 2.5". If data relyability isn't important try the €25 used one, but I wouldn't risk it myself, changing drives is a right pita :)
