Mondeo radio switched to One Hour Mode

    so as I was getting out of my mondy just now I noticed the radio didn't switch off when I took the key out of the ignition, but One Hour Mode came up on the display................never seen it before and worried that it'll run the battery down - help!!! what's the story with this??:confused:

    Just turn it off on the switch.

    thanks! there's no chance that this could be a sign of a bigger problem? it's not going to drain the battery, etc???? this only just happened for the first time today

    If you're in the car with the engine off, you can turn the radio on. It'll stay on for an hour before switching off to save the battery.

    Maybe you had this on before starting your engine and when you turned it off it continued this? Or is there a chance you could have accidently turned it on after turning the engine off eg. the steering wheel controls?

    it usually switches off when I turn off the ignition though

    As wheety has already said,It will turn the stereo off after 1 hr to save the battery from being discharged.Its a feature on all Fords i have owned;)

    Yeah, but there's obviously a setting where you have the option of the radio turning off with the ignition or the hour mode thing. I would say you hit off something to engage this. Have a gawk at you radio manual.
