Schecter PT?

    Hi all,

Anyone played one of these? How do they hold up tuning wise. The coil tap/splitter is appealing too, but I was also humming and hawing over a Charvel So-Cal Pro Mod, the idea of the Floyd Rose keeping me in tune all the time appeals. I used to have a Charvel with a Kahler yrs ago, always enjoyed the guitar, but sold it, so I know what I'm getting.

Funnily enough I don't play metal at all, but something solid with buckers and good tuning would suit me, so I don't really care what the tradition of Charvel and Schecter are (mainly rock metal players...)

Cons of the Charvel: no tone control, can't split the pups,

Pros of Charvel: FR, usually great necks, good pups, does what it says on the tin.

Cons of Schecter PT: I have never played a Schecter, no locking tremelo

Pros: looks really good, coil splitter/tap would be good for more tones, plus it has a tone control too.....

Both would be very useful for the covers stuff, for the original stuff, I wouldn't be going near high gain at all really, but both guitars could still be quite useful.

My old Charvel I had pretty much always stayed in tune. Always.....
