    Wondering if people can help me out here...

    Dropped my laptop quite a while ago while it was on and couldnt boot it up.. Figured I had destroyed both hard drives in it so got a new one and installed windows 7 and now it works fine..

    well, almost fine.. The main speakers on the laptop dont work.. only the woofer on the underside works..

    And I found out while on skype that the built in microphone don't work either!!

    Does the preinstalled software that comes with some laptops effect how these things work?? The mouse pad is crazy sensitive as well!!


    To be more specific I have an Acer (apsire 5920G) and the pre-installed software (empowering technology) is gone coz of blank hard drive I installed..

    Any info you kind folks could share with me??

    Make sure you have all the drivers from the Acer site for your model.
