Picked this up for a fiver before. It's fine in so far as it works properly. It really is small though and could do with a power light. To be honest I haven't used it since the week after I bought it.

    link works fine..

1.8ltr is bloody tiny though, i have a 3.5 ltr one and it's still kinda too small
i can only make about 3-4 days worth of stew in it.. a 1.8ltr slow cooker kinda defeats the purpose of a slow cooker

Id agree with this, I've a 3.5ltr and find it too small at times.. The 1.8ltr would be good for two people at best...

I'd spend the extra and go for http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/4228709/Trail/searchtext%3ESLOW+COOKER.htm

    Great for making savage Chilli...

90w is not great have 200w myself and it's perfect.

I wouldn't recommend you go for anything less than this especially if you want to cook joints of meat.

That's down to size. It has to be able to keep the filled crock pot at ~90 degrees. 90w is fine for this size of slow cooker.

Got this on Friday, best reviews of all the slow cookers@4.8

    Id say go for this.
Tesco have a 3.5l crockpot for 25 euro but know nothing about it

So I picked it up, and yes it is small but perfect for my needs (college student) and it was a great price so can't complain.

I want to get a Steamer, whats the difference between one of them and a slow cooker?

    Thanks,

A steamer steams food a slow cooker doesn't.... They're totally different methods of cooking

    I don't trust you.

You're wrong. I've got one for over 12 months, and use it regularly.

I think he's right for the majority of people, if only because they aren't organized enough to set things going 6+ hours in advance.
