    Interesting article. Given the wavelength of the radar in question is about the width between the chain link in the fence, its probably acting as a faraday cage and giving wildly misrepresentative readings. Look at you microwave glass window and you'll see holes, they block as they are just the right size to block the frequency in question (2.4Ghz)

    Just goes to show the huge difference between understanding a technology and the people actually implementing it.
