3G antenna - what frequency ranges are used?

What frequencies do the various mobile broadband providers use for 3G? I have 3 but recently Meteor installed a new mast about 4km away. I can get a 3G signal on both 3 and Meteor where I live.

I'd like to buy an outdoor antenna to see which of the two is best. (I do understand other factors are at play with midband.) One UK seller has one outdoor antenna covering 800-2500Mhz and another covering 824~960 MHz and 1710-2170 MHz. Should I just get the first one, which will cover all frequencies, or is it better to narrow the frequency down to make sure the antenna pulls in the better frequencies only?

edit : sorry didnt read properly ... look at the gain characteristics for around 2-2.2 Ghz (2000-2200 Mhz) range ... go for whichever has the most gain
