has anyone been involved, or reviewed books of evidence, in relation to recent cases based on offences under part 7 of the criminal justice act 2006, regarding criminal organisations?

I understand a number of persons have been returned for trial over the past year, but have not heard of any prosecutions reaching a conclusion yet.

what types of evidence make up the bulk of these prosecutions? i assume a great deal of circumstantial evidence on associations of the accused with persons with convictions for serious offences, inferences, opinion evidence of garda members with sufficient experiences...

Just wondering what experiences/opinions people have on this recent development in criminal law..

If I recall correctly the former dpp refused to prosecute the vast majority of garda files in relation to this. One way to look at this is that a very high level of evidence is required. A cynic might think it is because they want to run a test case first and then start bringing the sloppy prosecutions instead.
