Anyone betting on this. I have €10 e/w on Gary Woodland 16/1. I also have €5 e/w on Sabbatini (only cos Steve Palmer in the Racing Post tipped him)

I've no bets on but if I was betting I would also have it on Gary Woodland. Bubba Watson too.

Disappointing field with 12 players missing, but at least the season has started. I'll watch the Africa Open more than this though, just to watch Louis Oosthuizen.

    Think Byrd could defend.
Ogilvy and Appleby have both done so in the past 6 or so years.
It is that kind of course.

    Think he's 22/1 with PP

My moneys on Bubba, for the win and for first round leader. Actually had it on before his Christmas score was mentioned here I didn't have a clue about it, glad to hear it all the same but the reason I thrown it on him was because of the course, very forgiving off the tee apparently

    Taken from cbs website..
For those who dig the long ball, Kapalua is a bomber's paradise. Carved out of a mountain, which means some holes run downhill, and buffeted by winds off the Pacific, the course has produced an eye-popping 157 of the 277 total drives of 400-plus yards recorded in tour events over the past nine years, according to the tour's Shotlink laser database. Next-most is San Antonio's La Cantera with 41 drives of 400 or more yards.

4th round in progress, Stricker 5 in front of Byrd.

David Toms flying on his own, he's thru 16 while the next guy's are on the 10th. Bet he'll get fined for not playing in the spirit of the game.

Why don't the tours put the last 3 in rounds 3 and 4 out at the same ( with say a 20 min gap to the next 2) time rather than one with a marker?

Round of 70/71 will be plenty for stevie, unless byrd rips the course apart

Such a big Webb Simpson fan at the minute. Love his game.

Was rooting for him to win the Fedex last year. Feel he deserved some recognition for a brilliant break through year.

One to watch in the big ones this year it seems, looks like he's here to stay.

Stricker doing his best to throw this away. Putter needs to get working and soon!

Stricker won by 3 from Scot Martin Laird.
