Whats the easiest way to find out about an old car whether its scrapped/written off or whatever, using the reg.. Without having to pay on one of those sites

Put it into cartell free search. If nothing comes up,it's gone.

I find motorcheck etc do tend to show up basic details for car that are long gone. Motortax.ie might be a bit more accurate in that regard. If it says reg doesnt exist, its more than likely gone.
