Looking for a shipping crate for a Great dane

    Hello all Great dane Lovers

    As many of you may know from my last post we are planning to Move to New Zealand later this year & we will be taking our Great dane with us! It cost a massive amount of money but we are getting things done bit by bit as to ease the sting of the over all cost.

    We are asking all involved in Great danes if they have or may know of anyone that has a shipping crate that they no longer need that we may be able to use! A friend of ours from the states that moved here with her Great Dane gave hers to a dogs home when she arrived here as she no longer needed it so it sparked an idea with us to ask around first before we spend money on a new one or getting one made.

    Check with the airline you plan to use before paying for a crate, some have specific regulations for crates or require you to have a custom wooden crate built.

    Please also note if the crate is being made of wood it will have to be heat treated so ensure no bugs and it will have to be stamped to state it was done....
