anyhow new laptop needed:) iam not really a gamer just decided i was gonna treat myself to Battlefield 3, i mostly use my laptop for downloading, general web browsing and mainly for playing poker. so my main requirements are:

    17"+ screen
i don't need an operating system as i allready have windows7 (this should save a few quid;))

funnily enough i don't think any of the 2 of them machines would run battlefield 3, its a beast of a game and requires huge resources.
anyhow i picked up one of these

Ha, yeah trust me they can run it, dozens of vids/benchmarks to prove it, the game is very well optimized and actually isn't that resource hungry. Not at the highest settings though if thats want you want.

That said the XPS for that price is a decent deal too and should be able to push the game into the high/ultra zone. What spec's are on it?

wasn't really worried at running at the highest settings tbh. i currently have a dell studio with a 2.1ghz duo core cpu and that failed to run it, the crap video card didn't help either.:)
next thing is trying to sneak it in the door past the wife:eek::D
