It is, when your being put up beside the Samsung Galaxy S2 in test reviews you know it's one of the top phones's in the world. Motorola have updated android for it and fixed a few of the bugs with the launch model. Steal at that price.

Picked up the dock for €160 as well from ebay, couldn't resist:)

There have been a couple of problems with shipping from iBood in the past although most people will tell you they've received everything well on time. Ive used them around 5 times and never had a problem

this is a good phone for a good price but... MOTOBLUR is a disaster! I'd have launcherpro on it within 10min.

Saw this on simply electronics for 295 or so..although it says it has Android 2.2 but surely this can be updated to 2.3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 verbat

the phones simply electronics sell are gray imports and will not have a brand warranty, and the spec might be different compared to uk phones,

It has 2.3.4, soon to be ICS. Not that it matters much now.

I've just ordered this phone; I haven't seen any mention of ICS though. (e.g. https://forums.motorola.com/pages/00add97d6c)

Have you seen something hinting at a release?

When I was looking into the phone last week I found a couple of articles saying it was getting ICS. Upon more research it seems it probably wont! CM9 it is then.

I still think that the LG otpimus 7 is a better bargain (sub €200 phone) with roughly the same specs and better operating system (I have owned two android phones before and windows phone 7 is miles ahead)

Had one and lost it over the Christmas, would love a new one for less than €200 but can't find one anywhere for this price!

Not many apps on Windows phone 7 compared to Android though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,736 ✭✭✭ch750536

    Shipped!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,056 ✭✭✭✭BostonB

All that matter is if the platform has the apps you want. So check that rather than the thousands you'll never install.

WP7 is miles behind iOS and Android in terms of well....everything! It only gained sockets in the latest update for gods sake!

How so? Its stable so that puts it ahead of Android OS!

In terms of functionality, developers, apps, devices.

I've a Lumia here that would disagree with you :D

It's UI is probably the best of the three though.

got one this week having cancelled ibood(still waiting on refund)

its a nice little phone, but having had a Galaxy, I'm missing the bigger screen.
The curved back fits the hand nicely but the curved glass take a bit of getting used to.

It comes with a 2 gb card and a case so not a bad deal.
