What's the nightlife like?

    I will probably be coming here next year. I'm really happy with the campus, the course etc, but I was just wondering what's the night life like for UL students? My only concern about going to UL is that the nightlife may not be very good in Limerick. Would appreciate any replies.

    Depends on what you call good nightlife, but in my opinion, nightlife is pretty good. Lodge is close by in Castletroy with mostly UL students. Then there's Limerick city with a few nightclubs, and then a few really good pubs. There's students out most nights during the week. With 3 colleges in or around the city its always going to be pretty decent.

    It does depend on what you consider as good though! The Stables is a decent bar on campus with a band or two playing there every week while the lodge is a walk away from most student accomodation. What I find annoying is the distance from the city centre (15 minutes taxi) so if your not having a great night your stuck there or you pay the fair by yourself! so make it a good one!! There is a good few nightclubs to frequent such as Angel Lane , Mollys and The Sin Bin which are usually near full and hoppin! Im in 1st year myself but iv heard good things about Trinity Rooms which might be opening up soon? International Night in the Stables was a revealation to serious craic last semester aswel! I could go on all day but i hope this helps!

    I think the night-life is very good in Limerick...there really is something for everyone :)
    Spent the majority of my first year in trooms which was an unreal spot so fingers crossed it will reopen next year cos the other clubs got a little too busy when it closed!!
    There is always something on aswel...and rag (charity) week is epic. I went to both the UL one and the Cork one last year and UL's was better hands down :pac:
