Colour Profile Question

    Hi folks,

    I've recently used a Spyder calibrator to create a custom colour profile which I'm now using on my PC. When I export pictures from Lightroom to jpeg, should I leave it set as sRGB colour profile? Or should I be exporting with my custom profile?

    The reason I ask, is that when I export with sRGB the resulting jpeg is a good bit darker than what I'm seeing in Lightroom.

    This is firstly a big disappointment as I then feel that my stuff on flickr doesn't look as good as what I'm seeing in LR. Though I appreciate this is all subjective anyway as it is all dependant on how the viewers monitor is setup.

    My biggest concern is printing, I want to print a handful of shots and I'm using DS Colour Labs online service. Will they come back in the darker format I'm seeing on screen? Or will they be more faithful to what I'm seeing in LR?

    This is my first foray into printing that doesn't involve the little kiosks in Boots, so I'd like to get this right :)

    Thanks
    Matt

    Quick follow up question that's just occurred to me.

    I'm currently using the calibrated profile only in one place;

    On Win 7 > Colour Management > Devices > Then as the default ICC profile for my monitor.

    Should I be setting/using the calibrated profile anywhere else in Windows?

    Thanks
    Matt
