    Hi all,
I'm building a new windows 7 pc and I was wondering if there are any issues with installing my old sata hard drives (2x500 GB) from my old xp system into the new windows 7 pc?

Is it the same as using an external Hard drive and its just a matter of plug and play?

I plan to build the new pc with an ssd for windows and use the old sata drives for storage.

Is it just a matter of connecting up the drives once the new pc is up and running and windows 7 will recognize my old drives?

Sorry if this is an obvious/silly question but I don't want any issues with all my music photos etc.

Shouldn't be any issue. All you might have to do is map the drives once you boot in. Make sure when you're installing Windows 7 that only the SSD is connected so no confusion arises.
