03' e240 squeaking noise

Well lads. My father's car is making a horrible squeaking noise. It only came on this evening and is made worse by turning the steering wheel. The car has enough power steering fluid and there are no leaks in the system. It does it when driving in a straight line and also does it with the car stopped but only turning the wheel. I tried to listen for where it was coming from and its really loud by the 2 front wheels it seems. There's nothing obviously wrong though. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure it's not the pulley bearing when you get the belt done, can be costly if one goes.

Its the fan belt / auxiliary belt slipping, might just need adjustment but probably a new belt.

It's not that kind of squeaking, Its more like a creaking sound than a fan belt high pitch squealing kinda thing. I probably should have said creak before. Its hard to describe it. Sorry :D

They are prone to the suspension bushes/joints going dry and creaking badly.

The noise can happen when stationary and turning the wheels as the suspension also moves.
