How soon can estrumate be used post calving?

    you can inject them at any stage but it wont necessarly work!
    TBH if you want to bring them on heat you would be better off using a cidr or prid, suckler cows need pogesterone priming (the hormone contained in both of these ) and yes the its generally recommended wait until 40 days post calving to do so to give the uterus suffiient time to involute
    so in short buy either a prid of cidr

    if using estrumate to bring cows in heat the time frame wont make any difference if she has not come in heat before you inject .there is alot more to consider to get a cow in heat condition , nutrition , disease and and calving

    never heard of it used for this , we usually get the ai man to wash out with iodine if any popped up dirty during scanning

    Was told during the diy ai course that if you wash them out with metricure and give a shot of estrumate at 28 days after calving it seems to work well for dirty cows/ hard calvings etc
