Septic Tank

    Had a house built in 2007, Tricel septic Tank nothing but problems. Found out that it was not installed correctly and my engineer signed off house with out system being commisioned or tank even operating correctly. Should I go after my engineer. What do people think.

    I'd go after him surely. Why should it cost you more money?

    Can I ask what problems you are having?

    The water from the out let is not draining so the tank is back filling with the treated water. there is a motor which is not even connected, this should blow air i think. Builder vanished off face of the earth, would not want him within a 100 miles after the problems he has caused.

    Was there proper Percolation pipework put in off the Septic Tank.
    Also why not connect up Pump even temporarily to see what happens.

    You should also at least raise the issue with the Engineer and give him the option of taking a look at it for himself and then see what he has to say.
    Take plenty of Photos before you touch anything though.

    At the end of the Day that's what you paid him his big Fee for to protect you from such problems.
