Advice on tablet's - Sony, Toshiba or other options ?

I'm looking for a bit of advice on tablets. Not too well up on them myself. The Ma is mad to get one and she's been looking at the Toshiba at100 and the Sony Tablet S. Both look good and from what I read the Sony has a better screen. Just wondering if anyone has opinions/ experience of either the Sony or the Toshiba. Or…
