I just seen Dev110's CZ varmint 223 target grouping photos and thought I'd put it through the OnTarget program.

    Good shooting or wot @300y

    Thanks lads.

I could not believe it when I went to check the target. I had a very big smile walking back and said to myself "quit while your ahead" :D
I could see a hole on the target through the scope but taught I had missed the rest :o

The wind was strong and gusting so had to work hard for it.

Cheap as chips ammo, yet the only one my CZ would fire from the off both consistantly, and accurately.

    Well done again.

American Eagle 50gr HP - does the HP stand for Hollow Point and if so what are they like on foxes?

I've really only used the 55 grain V-max in my rifle, but it seemsto me from reading posts on here that the lighter bullets work really well in the CZ527 Varmints rifles.

Ye they are Hollow points. I think most of my foxes were shot with these and never had a runner. All dropped on the spot.

The 40gr Vmax is suppose to be a serious round through them rifles. I have never tried them as I always stuck around the 50-55gr bullets.
I know Fish Slapped made a 3 shot with the 40gr Vmax all in one hole at 100 yards.

Nice shooting dev and thanks to clivej for the post.

I sincerely hope that you guys in Eire get to reload in the future.

If you can do this with factory ammo, I cannot imagine what you would do with handloads.

    300 yards! Nice...

Im using the 40 gr vmax in my cz 527 and cannot recomend them enough. Not a single step has a fox took after a hit from them

Pretty lethal, once they shoot well in your rifle.

Another cheapie that I used to shoot was the Federal bulk pack, used to come in plain white boxes with Federal on it. Was told they were the same as AE but they shot differently through my Tikka. Not seen them in ages, used to get them off Gerry Scully.
