Audio and Video Codecs in Windows 7

When I had XP and Vista and looked at the file properties for audio and video files, intricate details of the codecs making up the files was immediately available. It's always annoyed me since changing to W7 that these properties don't appear anymore. You just get details of frame-rates, bit-rates etc, but no mention whatsoever of the specific codecs.

Are there any reg-edits that will take me back to the good old days?
